BARDON AGGREGATES PUSH THROUGH FOR COALVILLE UNDER 14S

Local Leicestershire rugby club, the Coalville Under 14’s sponsored by Bardon Aggregates at Bardon Hill, are celebrating after bringing the Leicestershire County Cup trophy back to the clubhouse in April.

Facing Loughborough in a close fought match, Coalville battled through to win 17 to 12 in the team’s first ever County Cup final, which followed a season of close knock out games against local clubs including Market Bosworth, Oakham and Hinckley.

Coalville U14’s trainer Martin Argyle, who is also nightshift manager at Bardon Aggregates’ Bardon Hill Quarry said: “The match proved to be an interesting local derby, with everyone playing brilliantly. I am really proud of them – the team have had a fantastic season and performed excellently throughout.”

Martin continues: “Playing an active role in the communities is central to our whole outlook. We are therefore more than happy to help local talent by sponsoring the team.”
