BARDON AGGREGATES SUPPORTS BARTON VILLAGE HALL RENOVATION

Exciting renovation plans to develop the well utilised Village Hall in Barton-Under-Needwood have been given a boost by Bardon Aggregates, part of Aggregate Industries. .

John Shenton of Bardon Aggregates’ Newbold Quarry, says: “When the Barton-Under-Needwood village committee approached us about the village hall, we were delighted to help out.

“Keeping the building in character with the village was a key requirement of the renovation and from looking at the design, it was clear to see that a lot of thought had been put into making the facilities as modern and accessible as possible for the community.”

Working alongside Vic Trigwell, chairman of the Barton-Under-Needwood village hall committee and the contractors on the project, Bardon Aggregates has donated a full range of rocks, concrete blocks and aggregates.

John concludes: “The village hall occupies a central position in the community and has always been used extensively by the members of the village for community groups, sports clubs and play-groups. Donating these materials helps to ensure that the renovation will keep this popular and well-used community facility at the heart of the village for many years to come.”
