BARDON AGGREGATES HAS A BLAST AT BARDON HILL

A recent visitor to Coalville-based Bardon Hill Quarry caused a blast, but it was all in the name of the New Paul O’Grady show for Channel 4.

Kelvin Edwards, a pint-sized helper on the Channel 4 show visited Bardon Hill, one of the largest quarries in the country operated by Bardon Aggregates, to find out about the industry and to initiate a quarry blast.

Trish Adams, works secretary at Bardon Hill Quarry said: “It was really exciting to have a television crew on site. Kelvin really enjoyed himself and he was interested to find out about the processes that take place at the quarry every day.”

The quarry sits in the centre of Bardon Aggregates operations in the Midlands and is a key landmark for the local community providing aggregate and sub base material.
